Four North Texas Student-Athletes Earn NFCA Academic Honor
Honorees Must Maintain 3.5 GPA
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Four North Texas softball players earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2016-17 season, as announced by the association Tuesday.
The student-athletes who received the recognition are Camille Grahmann, Lacy Gregory, Nicole Ochotnicki and Kelli Schkade. In order to make the list, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average or higher.
The award is recognized by the NCAA (Div. I-III), National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and junior colleges, as well at the high school level. In total, 7,365 softball players earned NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2016-17 season. Division I led the way with 1,843 athletes making the list.
