#NFLMeanGreen: Week 1 In Review
Robertson Posts Three Tackles In 2017 Regular Season Debut
DENTON - Week one of the National Football League season is in the books, and MeanGreenSports.com has you covered for 2017's fifth installment of #NFLMeanGreen.
One of the three former North Texas players in the NFL, New Orleans Saints linebacker Craig Robertson, was the only former Mean Green player to make his season debut this week. Oakland Raiders fullback Jamize Olawale missed his game due to a quad issue and Los Angeles Rams running back Lance Dunbar remains out with a knee injury and is on the PUP/Reserve list, meaning the earliest he can return to the field is Week 7.
Robertson's Saints fell 29-19 on Monday Night Football at Minnesota and Robertson posted three tackles. New Orleans hosts the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots (0-1) Sunday at 12 p.m. CT in the Mercedes Benz Superdome, as both teams seek their first win live on CBS.
Olawale's Raiders picked up a 26-16 win on the road at Tennessee in week one and Oakland (1-0) return to the Bay Area for their home opener against the New York Jets (0-1) Sunday at 3:05 p.m. on CBS.
The Rams blew out the Indianapolis Colts 46-9 in week one, and host the Washington Redskins Sunday at 3:25 p.m. live on Fox.
Be sure to follow the former Mean Green players in the NFL throughout the remainder of the regular season here on MeanGreenSports.com each Tuesday.
